Osteopathic Manual Medicine
Dr. Teresa Bair is an osteopathic physician board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. In the coming months she will be opening a dedicated manual medicine practice at the Wildfire Family Clinic, providing problem-based and holistic treatments to help her patients feel and function their very best. Dr. Bair cares for people of all ages and backgrounds, is queer-friendly and body positive, y habla Español para servirle.
All treatments will include a review of the patient's medical history, consultation on the presenting problem, a head-to-toe structural examination, hands-on treatment of the relevant nerves, muscles, and bones, and occasionally a short-term medication prescription (no controlled substances). Her manual treatments include gentle passive techniques as well as more active ones. These include myofascial release, cranial osteopathy (craniosacral), HVLA (“cracking”), and a variety of other methods to help calm the mind and realign the body. Treatments are done fully clothed, though activewear or loose clothing is appreciated.
